FAME OF JESUS! (Response to the call of Lifting High the Name of Jesus on Campus @ Passion 2012)

So it's been a very long time since I last posted, but this revelation is worth posting! I really hope that through this post, God can reveal something to you, of just how and who you can help.

Not to long a ago I was blessed enough to be able to go to Passion Pretoria (INCREDIBLE!!!!!) and something that Louie Giglio said ruined my life. He said "Imagine a South Africa where no one can go even half a day without hearing the name of Jesus."
WHAT?!?!?! God is that possible?! HOW?!?!
Then I realised DUH it's possible! You think the Incredible God we serve and worship wouldn't be able to make it possible?
So with all this going on in my mind, I got down with God and discussed some practical ways which this can happen, some practical ways that we can have Universities proclaiming the name of Jesus daily. My biggest argument with God has always been, I know I'm called to the ministry, to bring people to God. Matthew 28, we all know it. But I'm a varsity student, I can't do to much now, and God so gracefully said to me, "ofcourse you can!!!" and going through these practical things with God (which I encourage you to do personally with God) I realised How much I can do and then I started freaking out, how am I gonna do this? Varsity is filled with worldly things and maybe if I bring the basics through, God can do the rest, and maybe if I drop a Facebook Status or two and hopefully God talks to them through that, and again, God so gracefully reminded of the fact that the truth sets us free.

SO MY POINT OF THIS POST....

As Christians we need to stop dancing around the truth. We need to stop being scared of offending people. Because by doing that we are going to get NOWHERE. There is a way to bring the truth across, God's word promises us that the TRUTH WILL SET US FREE! (John 8:32) So in that then is it not our duty to present the truth. Our problem is that we don't want to offend someone. PLEASE understand that I'm not saying we need to go offend everyone and think it's awesome but take this example: John tells Jane that Murder is a sin, Jane has never murdered before and she says "Amen, Preach it!" Then John go to Jill who has murdered 3 people before and says "Murder is a sin" Jill will be offended, and that offence I believe is a spiritual conviction, and if it offends you, the enemy wants it to, because the enemy knows it has that hold on you, so when you are offended by God's truth, you may need to assess something in your life, and you may need to change.
With all that in mind, I get back to my point of speaking Gods truth, I think a problem on Campuses today is that we don't wanna preach "Negative" messages. What is negative about the truth that is God. What is negative about the freedom and salvation that comes through Jesus Christ.
I'll tell you what negative about it NOTHING!!!!! NOTHING!!!!! NOTHING!!!!
We need to stop been scared to offend, and we need to stop using excuses like "Negative Messages" We need to present God's truth. When the word of God says "You shall not murder" it means YOU SHALL NOT MURDER, and with a revelation of that (Although this is a weird example) someone's life can be changed, but if we carry on beating around the bush by saying "It's okay if you murder, God forgives (Which He does), You know... What ever!" We are helping keep that person in slavery.
Just to paint a Picture for you..... By beating around the bush it's like walking past someone who is chained to a wall been beaten everyday, with the key to release that person in your hand.

Again with all of that in mind and as I said in the beginning this is not a Free Pass to go offend everyone, but when we minister to people it should be done prayerfully  and through thee Holy Spirit in us, and that way we know that we are presenting the truth of God. So please don't misunderstand me in this but rather trust God to reveal to you what He wants to reveal through this.

I think that when we get this right the fame of Jesus will be far more evident then it is now! That one line at Passion Pretoria 2012 changed my view on life and changed what I see as my mission on campus. I wanna bring Fame to the Name of Jesus Christ, and I wanna bring freedom to the people through Jesus Christ that they will know that only ONE DIVINE BEING can change their lives and set them free as they have been set free   JESUS CHRIST!!!!!! **NOW I'M EXCITED**

I really pray that if you read this God will reveal people to you, and situation to you and a whole lotta other things to you that will help you with this revelation. I also pray that this will make sense, because I am typing this at 02:30 in the morning, because of this passion to share this message...haha... God works in Awesome Mysterious ways! So this message could have many spelling mistakes and who knows how many grammatical errors, but the point is the passion behind that message that I wanted to share!

Thank You so Much for reading this!!!
You are an Incredible Brother/Sister in Christ, and We serve an AWESOME GOD!!!!!
Blessings! :D

EXPECTATIONS!!!

HEY!!!!!!!
Please Please Pray for us... A dear friend of mine and myself, have decided that one way we can contribute towards, the revival we waiting for on campus, is by starting prayer once a week... Last semester we had it for 3 weeks, and had a great time, of worship and chillin with Jesus. This semester we want it grow, right outta that little room we were in, ultimatly we want that to be a time where we can pray and minister to people, but for us to fill up as well.

Very Excited for this, as Karlien and I both feel it's what we need to do, and we trusting God for this, to grow, but also just go according to His will.

Thank You!!!

LAST Dayzz In India! (Originally Written 26/05/11)

As everything comes to an end, I can only say thanks to everyone who made it possible, everyone who supported me in prayer and and every other way too I really from the bottom of my heart do appreciate it.
In India I realised how much I value the people in my lfe, not been around all my friends and family for so long has really shown me how much I actually need them.
Now I'm just so excited to get back to
South Africa tomorrow and see all my friends and hear their stories of how amazing God was on their trips.
When I get back I'm only gonna be with the rest of the DTS for 5 days, but God is good and I'm trusting Him to bring us back together again soon, so that we can continue doing Gods
work together.
This has been an amazing
experience, I'll never regret it or forget it...but for now its time to be in South Africa again.....even though its about 40 degrees colder than India!!

Be Blessed
Cause this is India! (Originally Written 29/04/11)
Havent posted for quite a while but things have been CrAZY!!!!! Since my last post I've taught at a bible school, and been really blessed by the response to the call for prayer at the end. Painted a church, and attended a service in the "new" church. Lived in a village, enjoyed the hard floor, the hole for a toilet and best of all pumping my own water to take a bath out a bucket pouring water over myself with a cup...good times!! I had a lot of fun, living with the people in the village and learning about them and their culture.
All in all India has been amazing and its been a true blessing, these people don't have a lot but still they want to give me the best they have, I really am blessed to be here.

One thing I have really come to realise is how blessed I am, and how I take things for granted. The fact that I can lay on a bed every night, watch TV when ever I want, turn on lights when its dark, turn on a tap when I want water.....those LITTLE things that so many people take for granted are LUXURY here!!
It's not easy in India! It's not nice having NO religious freedom, It's not nice riding down the road and seeing people give sacrifices and worship other gods because they are just so lost and brainwashed, kids programmes on cartoon network and disney channel that have gods as their main characters.
It's not nice seeing baby after baby being born because a woman needs to have a boy, and all those girls have no future but to be married off as a young teen if they lucky enough, it's too expensive to let your daughter get married because the woman pays. In the village we went to I had a woman ask me to keep her child! I guess she just didn't want the child.

My heart is broken for India, and I hope to come back one day when I can just serve these people. They need it, but the crazy thing is...so do so many other places in the world. We are More than Conquerors!

Be Blessed!
Our God is greater, Our God is stronger. (Originally Written 8/04/11)
WOAH!! God is so good! In India being a Christian is like being a porcupine in a balloon shop, just not really acceptable. So I was really struggling with the fact that I can't just be open and go tell people about Jesus, but God has been so good, and he has brought our ministry to us. We have had Muslims and Hindu's come and ask us for prayer. Most of them are coming to us for miracles, because they have realized that their gods don't help them and they want to try our God out, and our God, has been so faithful, and we have seen Hindu women in tears and prayed for a lot of healing.

One thing that really touched me was in this one house a 13 year old girl has accepted Jesus as her Saviour, but her parents are still strong Hindu's and at first they didn't like it, but now that they have seen the change in her, and the miracles of God, they have started opening up to it. The faith of that girl to go against what she was brought up in and what her parents believe is incredible.

Last night, I had the opportunity to preach at the local service, of Hindu's and Christians mixed, it was really amazing, and God really moved. The language barrier is a bit much at times, but God is faithful and we manage.

So far CULTURE SHOCK is CRAZZZZY!! But I know God has a plan and thats great and I'm waiting to see what he has in store for us next...We will be moving to the next city in a few days, amazing opportunities there as well. Cant wait!

Be Blessed!
Miss you all!!!!
This is Outreach...Travelling! (Originally Written 3/04/11)
WOW...after plane tickets been messed up in Cape Town, and being delayed in Mumbai causing us to miss all 3 trains that could get us home, we FINALLY made it after 36 hours of travelling!!!
It's so crazy, we've been chased off the platform by police, we've seen children carving idols, we've eaten funky vegetable curry, we've seen people washing their cows, as an act of worship...WOW...when they say nothing prepares you for India they mean it. There was a children's ride outside a shop, that was a god. It's CRAZY!!!!
We are starting tomorrow, with our ministry, today we all slept in till after lunch! But we are all very excited to get started tomorrow, and can't wait to see what God has planned for us.
Hope all is well, with all the other teams! I know God is using each and every person weather in Japan, Mozambique or India, to make a difference for Him, and it makes me soo excited!!!

God Bless!

CALLING TO MISSIONS! (Originally Written 21/03/11)
Well I’ve been shaken around on this topic, I’ve always known that God has a calling on my life, into the mission field, but I always thought maybe it’s just to minister to the people in my work place.
BUT this week God opened my eyes to something greater, he showed the importance of me being obedient, and following him to the corners of the world, to the unreached people, those who are waiting for someone like me, to come and share the good news.
CRAZY STATISTICS- 20% of Christians are willing to go out into the world, and go share the word of God. 98% of that 20% will go and share the word of God to underprivileged people, and people who already have resources and have heard of God that leaves 2% of us to go to the unreached and spread the gospel to all 4 corners of the earth. (Mark 16:15- He said to them, "Go into ALL the world and preach the gospel to ALL creation)
(Matthew 24:14 – This gospel of the kingdom will be preached as a testimony to ALL the nations)

This added wood to a fire that God started in my heart about a year ago, I have a passion for missions, and feel called to go out into the world and share the word of God, but not just to anyone, I want to be used in the unreached areas of the world. This means I’m going to be doing more training through YWAM, which is going to open up so much for me. *EXCITED*
*ROMANS 8:28-39* This showed me...
WE ARE ALL GOOD ENOUGH TO BE USED BY GOD TO CHANGE THE WORLD, NO MATTER WHAT WE HAVE DONE IN THE PAST, OR FAILED TO DO IN THE PAST, GOD WILL USE US!
AMEN <3
The Beginning- My DTS  (Originally Written 15/03/11)
The beginning of an amazing journey! I am about to complete the lecture phase of my DTS in Worcester, South Africa, it has been an amazing experience, where I have had the privilege to be taught by great and anointed people, teaching the simple truth of God through a great programme.
1.The word of God-Erin Pennigton
2.Holy Spirit week-Stefaan Hugo
3.Discipleship-Fiona Gifford
4.Father Heart of God-Rich Hodge
5.Character and nature of God-Holger Schein
6.Spiritual Warefare and Worship-Pieter Mc Karthy
7.Sexuality-Frans Cronje
8.The work of the cross-Cliff Canipe
9.Calling in Mission-Dave
I also went on a survival camp for 4 days...NIKO! It was really challenging but learnt life lessons that I don't think could be taught to me any other way.

Through out my DTS, I have learned so much, I have recieved so much, healing, learnt to let go of so much that was holding me back from an intimate relationship with God.
A few things I learned that would impact the rest of my life as a missionary.
·         Everyone is a missionary, it doesn't matter where in the world you are or what you doing, you have the calling over your life to make God known.
·         As Christians we gotta get up and start walking, we can't wait for something amazing to happen, we gotta make the amazing happen, with all glory to God obviously.
·         The Father Heart of God, as well as the Mother heart of God, was absolutley mind blowing, just realising His love for us, it's so easy to say "God Loves me" or "God Loves you", but we don't always understand how much he actually loves us! AGAPAO-The love that cannot be associated with human love, because it's unconditional, it is the love God has for us.
·         The authority He has given us, we have all the authority, satan has no power, any power that he has, we give him, we allow him into those areas of our lives, and thats quite amazing to know that we as humans have been given authority over satan.
·         ALL SIN IS UNDERSTANDABLE, FORGIVEABLE AND CORRECTABLE!
·         "We cannot be shocked by sin, we are capable of anything" -Fiona Gifford
·         Jesus has been there from the beginning (Tree of Life)
·         New perspective of Holy Communion - "Your Quality of life is determined by what you eat!"
·         ROMANS 6- I am DEAD to sin, and ALIVE in Christ. and Christ is in me, and always has been and always will be, and when He died on the cross, I was there and died with Him, I AM DEAD TO SIN, AND ALIVE IN HIM!!!
·         Obedience is a big deal when it comes to God's will for your life, it's so easy to say, "God I want your will to be done" But are we always willing to do that craziest things for God and simply be obiedient in everything we do?
Those are just very few of the amazing things I learned, there is so much more, but one thing is for sure, that my life has changed, and, I hope that the change in my life can change other peoples lives to just get closer to our AMAZING God.

With all this we have been doing local outreaches where I have been blessed enough to go to a farm outside Worcester, and minister to Kids there with a few other amazing friends in my DTS, those kids were a great blessing to me, and I hope that I imparted something into their lives that will help them in the furture, because they blessed me so much and taught me so much.

Now as I come to the end of my lecture phase, I prepare for my Field assignment, I will be going to India for two months, not knowing what to expect, but totally trusting God to use me and stretch me, wherever he wants to use me.

I've already made such amazing friends here, I never thought I could get so close to people in such a short period of time, but this DTS has been life changing and I have made life long friends, that I hope I can do future mission work with!
YWAM has opened many doors for me, all over the world, and i'm just so excited for what God's doing but not only in my life, but in the lives of everyone on my DTS. We are an amazing group and God is gonna use us in amazing ways.
PRAISE GOD!! <3
